Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Has a problem been found?
YES
Repair as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure
NO
Go to "W/Harness Inspection" procedure
Check for short to chasis ground in harness
Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect ECM connector, leveling actuator, and right/left connector
Measure resistance between terminal "2" of the ECM (or leveling actuator) harness connector and chasis ground
Specification : Approx. ∞ Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
Go to "Check for short to power circuit in harness" procedure.
NO
Check for short to chasis ground in leveling actuator output harnessRepair as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Check for short to power circuit in harness
Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect ECM wiring, leveling actuator, right/left connector
Measure resistance between terminal "2" of the ECM (or leveling actuator) harness connector and terminal "3" of the power supply harness
※ 10.8~11.2V is measured at leveling actuator signal line when ignition "ON" under normal condition
Specification : Approx. ∞ Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
Check the condition of connected part and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Check for short to power circuit in leveling actuator output harness. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
