Remove the oil filter body cover (B).
Loosen the oil filter cap by turning it counterclockwise to drain the oil in the oil filter.
Remove the surge tank and intake manifold.(Refer to intake and exhaust system in this group)
Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.
Drain the engine coolant.
Disconnect the throttle body coolant hoses.
Remove the water temperature control assembly.
Disconnect the water vent hose (A).
Remove the oil filter body cover (B).
Remove the oil filter body.(A).
Be careful of the knock sensor connector.
Install the oil filter body(A) and new O-rings.
Tightening torque
9.80 ~ 11.76Nm (1.0 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 7.23 ~ 8.68lb-ft)
All rubber gaskets must not be damaged by assembling parts.
Always use a new O-ring and the oil seal.
Konck sensor lead wire must be passed through the space of oil filter body grooves.
Install the oil filter body cover(B) and new gasket on the oil filter body.
Tightening torque
9.8~ 11.8Nm (1.0 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7lb-ft)
Connect the water vent hose(A)
Tightening torque
9.80 ~ 11.76Nm (1.0 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 7.23 ~ 8.68lb-ft)
Install the water temperature control assembly.
Connect the throttle body coolant hoses.
Connect oil pressure switch connector.
Install the intake manifold and surge tank.(Refer to intake and exhaust system in this group)
Fill with engine coolant.
Start engine and check for leaks.
Recheck engine coolant level.
