AHLS provides driver with the best visibility by adjusting vertical direction of the headlamp. It consists of AHLS ECU, Linkage and actuator. The height sensor measures the angular displacement of lever by measuring the magnetic field of stator parts formed by rotation of rotor.
The Hall sensor transfers to the MCU an angle of present sensor in the AHLS system. If there are communication error or wrong signals, it sets the DTC C1381.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause |
DTC Strategy |
•
Communication error or receive wrong signals.(Diagnostic cycle : 30 ms) | 1. Hall sensor communication error 2. AHLS ECU failure |
Detecting mode |
•
Engine "ON" and Head lamp "ON"
Threshold Value |
•
Hall Sensor Communication error or receive wrong signals
Detecting time |
•
DTC sets if the faulty is lasting over 1.2 seconds
Fail Safe |
•
Error detected during power-up : Switch to safe mode ( the 85% are from IG ON )
•
Error detected during normal operation : maintain the current status |
