Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in electrical systems are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,or damage.

3.

Monitoring a DVOM on min/max or the VMI while wiggling connectors may help find the problem.

4.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to Next procedure.

CAN communication line inspection
■ CAN communication line inspection
1.

IG KEY OFF.

2.

Disconnect EPB connector and Cluster connector.

3.

Measure the resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of EPB harness connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of Cluster harness connector.

4.

Measure the resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of EPB harness connector and CAN-LOW terminal of Cluster harness connector.

Specification : below 1Ω

5.

Is the measured registance within specification ?

▶ Check Each Module connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Check for open in harness.

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
