LKAS is an abbreviation of Lane Keeping Assist System. During vehicle operation at 60 km/h, LKAS detects a lane via a camera and helps the driver to maintain the vehicle within the lane when it tries to get out of the lane. If the vehicle gets out of the lane, LKAS alerts the driver by setting an alarm. LKAS can be enabled or disabled by turning its software on or off.
If the signal of On/Off switch keeps an ON status continuously, the ECU sets a code C153211 and turns on a warning lamp.
