The CAN communication circuit consists of Low & High communication lines and two 120 Ω resistors, each of which is installed in EMS and Cluster respectively, to enable communication between different units (EMS-ECU, VDC, FATC and Cluster). LKAS communicates with each of these units to control the MDPS motor.
If LKAS cannot send or receive a CAN message due to the open or short-circuit of the CAN communication line, the fault code C161688 is generated.
