Termminal & Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminal condition. Faults can also becaused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical systems or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" Procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" Procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
■ Ignition Power Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "ON"& Engine "OFF"

2.

Disconnect the SPAS Control Module.

3.

Measure the voltage between the power circuit of the SPAS control Module and the body ground.

Specification : approx. B+

4.

Is the measured value within specifications?

▶ "Battery Power circuit Inspection" Procedure.

▶ Check that Fuse1-10A is installed or not blown.

▶ Check the open or short to ground of the power cirucit .And then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition "ON"& Engine "OFF"

6.

isconnect each the front sensor of SPAS/PAS.

7.

Measure the voltage between the power circuit of the SPAS control Module and the body ground.

Specification : about 12V

8.

Is the measured value within specifications?

▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in SPAS ECU's connector or was repaired and SPAS ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Check the open or short to ground of the power cirucit . And then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
