Cyce ignition and perform EPB Apply/Release. Then check DTC becomes historic.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Check EPB DTC information with GDS.
If DTC state information shows it is active, perform procedure below. If it is historic, delete DTC and check it raises again.
When EPB switch is activated, check "Actuator Status" value is changing.(Fig.1)
If there is no change for clamping force, check parking brake assembled condition..

Is parking brake state depends on EPB switch control correct?
 | ▶ Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and Control Module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage. ▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
