Visual Inspection
1.

Check whether right brake disc, pad and actuator are normal visually

2.

After IGN OFF/ON, perform apply/realse several times. Then IGN OFF/ON again. Check DTC became historic

Sound Inspection
1.

As performing EPB apply/relase, compare right and left actuation sound

2.

Check whether it runs for long time or stop and run again on the right side

3.

If it is hard to tell, connect GDS and use actuation function in GDS

4.

By releasing one side only with GDS and pulling EPB switch can be used to listen to one side applying. Both side can be compared.

5.

Check whether right side takes longer or it stop and runs again.

6.

Check clamping force on right side

7.

Does right side takes longer to clamp or it stop and runs again?

▶ Check the wiring to see whether wiring is reversed.

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Signal Circuit Inspection
■ Check for open & short in harness
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect EPB actuator RH and EPB ECU main harness connector.

3.

Measure resistance between Motor(-),(+) terminal of EPB actuator RH harness connector and Motor(-),(+) terminal of EPB ECU harness connector.

Specification : below 1Ω

4.

Measure resistance between Motor(-),(+) terminal of EPB actuator RH harness connector and chassis ground .

5.

Is the measured Value within specification?

▶ Go to " Component inspection " procedure.

▶ Check for open/short circuit between EPB ECU & actuator on right side and repair it. Then perform verification of vehicle repair
