Terminal & Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
■ Check voltage
1.

IG "OFF" and disconnect A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor, MAPS, FPS, CMPS(Intake), CMPS(Exhaust), TPS, APS, CKPS(only ISG), BVS(only ISG) connector.

2.

IG "ON"

3.

Measure resistance between power terminal of MAPS harness connector and chassis ground.

4.

Measure voltage between power terminal of A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

5.

Measure voltage between power terminal of FPS harness connector and chassis ground.

6.

Measure voltage between power terminal of CMPS(Intake) harness connector and chassis ground.

7.

Measure voltage between power terminal of CMPS(Exhaust) harness connector and chassis ground.

8.

Measure voltage between power terminal of TPS harness connector and chassis ground.

9.

Measure voltage between power terminal of APS harness connector and chassis ground.

10.

Measure voltage between power terminal of CKPS harness connector and chassis ground.(only ISG)

11.

Measure voltage between power terminal of BVS harness connector and chassis ground.(only ISG)

Specification : Approx. 5V

12.

Is the measured voltage within specification ?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair short to battery and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair".
