In the Ignition ON position, the ECM/PCM receives information from the ICM and permits injection to take place If the CODE memorized in ECM/PCM is coincided with ICM.
When the ID code from the transponder is verified by the ICM then the registering sequence is complete and a answer signal is sent to the ECM/PCM.
The ICM sends a START or NO START signal to the ECM/PCM.
The DTC will set, there is no data transmitted from ECM/PCM for 5 seconds after ignition ON.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause |

•
CAN Data status receiving from ECM/PCM | 1. Open or Short in harness between ECM/PCM and ICU 2. Faulty ECM/PCM 3. Faulty ICU |
Threshold value |
•
No data transmitted from ECM/PCM for 5 seconds after ignition ON | |
Detecting time |
•
1 time | |
DTC Erasing Condition |
•
Without a fault or using a GDS |
