Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,or damage.

Has a problem been found ?

	▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to next procedure.

IG Key "OFF".

Disconnect LKAS Connector.

IG "ON" or ENG "ON".

Measure voltage between power terminal of LKAS harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured voltage within specification ?

	▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Check the power supply connector and wiring for poor contact, bends, corrosion, contamination and damage. ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG Key "OFF".

Disconnect LKAS connector.

Measure resistance between ground terminal of LKAS harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured resistance within specification ?

	▶ Replace LKAS with a working unit. If the replaced unit works properly, check to see whether the system works properly.
	▶ Check the ground wire for poor contact, bends, corrosion, contamination and damage. ▶ Repair as needed and perform the “Verification of Vehicle Repair” procedure.
