The windshield deicer switch inputs can be checked using the GDS.

To check the input value of windshield deicer switch, select option "Body Control Module".

Select option "Current Data" of "smart junction box".

To check the input value of windshield deicer switch in force mode, select option "Actuation Test" of "smart junction box".

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the center fascia panel (A) after loosening the mounting screws.

(Refer to Body - "Crash pad")

Disconnect the heater control unit connector (B) and hose (A).

Remove the heater control unit contained the windshield deicer switch from the center fascia panel.

Install the heater control unit.

Install the center fascia panel.
