Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Remove the air cleaner assembly (B).
Remove the battery (A) and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine electrical group - "Battery")
Disconnect the brake fluid level switch connector (A), and remove the reservoir cap.
Remove the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir with a syringe.
Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle, it may damage the paint ; if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash if off immediately with water.
Remove the master cylinder.
(Refer to the master cylinder)
Loosen the brake tube bracket mounting nuts (A).
Loosen the flare nuts (A) and then remove the brake tube (B).
Tightening torque:
18.6 ~ 22.6 N.m (1.9 ~ 2.3 kgf.m, 13.7 ~ 16.6 lb-ft)
Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) from the brake booster.
Remove the snap pin (A) and clevis pin (B).
Remove the mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque:
16.7 ~ 23.5 N.m (1.7 ~ 2.4 kgf.m, 12.3 ~ 17.4 lb-ft)
Loosen the wiring harness mounting bolt (A) and then remove the brake booster (B).
