Inspection procedure
1.

Monitor "ECTS" and "IATS" current data when the symptom happens.

2.

Does the symptom happen when the engine is cold or engine/intake air temperature is too low condition?

▶ If starting is impossible in the winter or the condition which engine/intake air temperature is too low, go to "Fuel inspection" procedure as below.

→ If starting is impossible regardless of the season or engine/intake air temperature, execute the following items.

▶ Check/repair CKPS and CMPS.

▶ Check/repair the engine timing chain and timing alignment.

▶ Go to "ECM/PCM" inspection procedure.

→ If all items are normal, execute the following items.

▶ Go to "Air cleaner" inspection procedure.

▶ Go to "DPF" inspection procedure.

▶ Go to "Fuel" inspection procedure.

▶ Go to "Fuel delivery system" inspection procedure.

▶ Go to "Compression pressure" inspection procedure.

▶ Go to "Injector" inspection procedure.

Fuel inspection
3.

Remove the fuel filter assembly and check the state of fuel from the fuel filter.

• The fuel solidification by paraffin ingredient which is contained at the fuel

• The fuel freezing by water which is mixed at the fuel

4.

Is the fuel quality normal?

▶ Check/repair the glow plug.

▶ Check/repair the fuel filter heater.

▶ Replace fuel.

▶ Clean/replace the inside of the fuel tank and fuel line.
