Regulated Voltage Test
1.

Install a clamp-on ampere meter at "BATTERY"(-) cable.

2.

Start the engine. Keep all lights and accessories off.

3.

Run the engine at a speed of about 2,500 rpm and read the voltmeter when the alternator output current drops to 10A or less.

13.5~14.5V(25°C, 77℉)

Output current

54~90A

4.

Are the measured voltage value and current value normal ?

▶ Charging system is normal.

▶ Check electrical accessory installation.

▶ Check tension of the alternator belt.

▶ Check battery terminal and B+ terminal of the alternator (tightening condition and corrosion).
