Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect EPB actuator harness connector.
Connect battery to Motor(+) and Motor(-) terminals of EPB actuator for about 2 seconds and check motor is turning. (Component Side)
Is the motor rotating ?
![]() | ▶ Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and Control Module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage. ▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
![]() | ▶ Substitute with a known-good EPB actuator and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace EPB actuator and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. ▶ After IGN Off/On, try EPB apply/release to see DTC is demoted to historic. ※ (Perform this task only after you make sure that preventive measures are taken in case the vehicle moves when the parking brake is released.) |
