The EPB ECU checks the battery voltage and alternator output voltage to determine, as a safety issue,
whether this system can operate normally or not.
The normal battery voltage range is essential for controlling this system as intended
The EPB ECU monitors the voltage of battery and if it stays more than a certain value, this DTC is set.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause |
DTC Strategy |
•
Monitoring the voltage of battery | 1. Poor connection in power supply circuit 2. Poor connection in ground supply circuit 3. Charging System |
Enable conditions |
•
EPB Wake up | |
Threshold value |
•
voltage is less than 9.5V for more than 0.5 seconds
•
During the EPB actuation, voltage goes less than 8V and stay that way for 0.5 seconds. | |
Fail-Safe |
•
EPB function inhibited (If DTC was raised due to voltage drop during actuation, manual actuation could be possible later on) |
Bat. Voltage | IG Key ON | ENG. ON |
