Ignition "OFF".
Remove "TRANSAXLE RANGE SWITCH".
Measure the resistance between each teminal of the sensor.
Specification : Approx. 0 Ω

Is resistance within specifications?
 | ▶ Substitute with a known-good PCM/TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/TCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
 | ▶ Replace "TRANSAXLE RANGE SWITCH" as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
