Set the adjuster lever all the way back when installing the shoe-to-shoe spring.
Install the grommet in the direction shown in the illustration.
Apply the specified grease to contact parts of the parking brake pedal assembly.

After installing the cable adjuster, adjust the parking brake cable stroke.
