Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Disconnect CMPS connector.
IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
Measure the voltage between Power, Signal, Ground terminal of CMPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Power Terminal B+
Signal Terminal Approx. 12V
Ground Terminal Approx. 0V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?

IG "OFF".
Disconnect CKPS connector.
IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
Measure the voltage between Hi, Low terminal of CKPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 2.5 V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?

Disconnect CKPS connector.
IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
Measure the voltage between Power, Signal, Ground terminal of CKPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Power Terminal Approx. 5V
Signal Terminal Approx. 11V
Ground Terminal Approx. 0V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?
