Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found ?
YES
Repair as necessary and then go to ＂Verification of Vehicle Repair＂procedure.
NO
Go to＂CAN Circuit Inspection＂procedure.
Ignition ＂OFF＂.
Disconnect EPS CM & ECU connector .
Measure resistance between EPS CM terminal ＂6＂of the engine ECU terminal＂77＂connector.(HIGH).
Measure resistance between EPS CM terminal ＂5＂of the engine ECU terminal ＂78＂connector.(LOW).
Specification : 0 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
Go to ＂Component Inspection＂procedure.
NO
Check Open between EPS CM & engine ECU harness.
Repair as necessary and then go to＂Verification of Vehicle Repair＂procedure.
