Component Locatio
General Description

Auto Location

Localization process starts each time the vehicle was parked for more than 19 minutes. The vehicle is considered parked when its speed is below 5km/h. During localization process WE sensors are triggered one by one. The WE sensor is listening for that trigger signal when in mode MFB(Mode First Burst : Mode for Auto Location and Auto Learning). LF signal reception by the WE sensor is notitied by setting the state field in the next transmitted RF frame to "1". The localization function only accepts telegrams with state "1". In order to localize a position on the vehicel 2 telegrams with state "1" are required. Localization failed when less than 3 WE sensors could not be localized i.e. one or more WE sensors respend to the to LF trigger signal less than 2 times.

DTC Description

This DTC indicates Auto-location fail. This code is set with hardware DTC code like Mute or sensor, LFI failure because Auto location can be failed by only hardware problem. The most likely cause is deduced by checking followed DTC with this code.

Detecting Condition

Possible cause

DTC strategy

● Check pulse

● Faulty LFI

● Faulty WE sensor

Enable conditions

● On start of driving after parking for more than 19min.

Threshold value

● Localization failed (Less than 2 telegrams with state "1" received during localization process and mismatch of WE ID's on this position)

Mil On conditon

● Active DTC is set

Monitor Scantool Data
1.

Park the vehicle on a level surface.

2.

Set up 'GDS' with 'GDS TPMS'.

3.

Select the "TPMS" system.

4.

Execute "DTC Analysis" mode.

5.

Check the present DTC.

6.

Are there any DTC's except for 'C1341'?

▶ Do all repairs associated with detected DTC's.

▶ Fault is intermittent. It has been repaired and TPMS receiver module memory is not cleared yet.

▶ Go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

Verification of Vehicle Repair

After a repair, it is essential to verify that the fault has been corrected.

1.

Connect TPMS exciter or scantool and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTCs)" mode

2.

Using a TPMS exciter or scantool, Clear DTC.

3.

Operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.

4.

Are any DTCs present ?

▶ Go to the applicable troubleshooting procedure.

▶ System performing to specification at this time.
