Loosen the exhaust manifold stay bolts (B).
Tightening torque:
39.2 ~ 49.0N.m (4.0 ~ 5.0kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 36.2lb-ft)
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
Use the SST (Oxygen sensor socket wrench : 09392-2H100), remove the oxygen sensor, and then remove the heat protector (A).
Tightening torque
Oxygen sensor:
39.2 ~ 49.0N.m (4.0 ~ 5.0kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 36.2lb-ft)
Heat protector bolts:
1.7 ~ 2.2N.m (16.7 ~ 21.6kgf.m, 12.3 ~ 15.9lb-ft)
Loosen the exhaust manifold stay bolts (B).
Tightening torque:
39.2 ~ 49.0N.m (4.0 ~ 5.0kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 36.2lb-ft)
Remove the front muffler (A).
Tightening torque:
39.2 ~ 58.8 N.m (4.0 ~ 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 43.4 lb-ft)
Remove the exhaust manifold (A).
Tightening torque:
29.4 ~ 41.2N.m (3.0 ~ 4.2kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 30.4lb-ft)
When installing, replace with a new gasket.
When installing the intake manifold, tighten the nuts with pre-torque first, and then tighten the nuts with specified torque in the sequence shown.
Installation is reverse order of removal with a new manifold gasket.
