Component Inspection

■ Check EGR ACTUATOR resistance

IG key OFF.

Disconnect 'EGR ACTUATOR' connector.

Check resistance between power ('SNSR 1 FUSE 15A') terminal and 'EGR actuator' terminal of 'EGR ACTUATOR' connector. ('EGR ACTUATOR' component side)

Specification : 7.3 ~ 8.3 Ω (20°C)

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Check EGR actuator operation" as follows.
	▶ Replaces EGR actuator, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ Check EGR actuator operation

IG key OFF.

Check that MAFS is installed in correctly according to the direction of arrow on MAFS ass'y'.

Check contamination of air cleaner filter.

Turn engine ON.

Let idle rpm last after warming engine up.

Check the leakage of intake system. (the leakage or damage of intercooler)

Check that VGT operates correctly. (Check if VGT unison ring is stuck.)

12.

Check that EGR actuator does not operate.

☞ EEGR actuator turns "OFF" 60 sec. after rapid acceleration.

13.

Monitor "AIR MASS PER CYLINDER" and "EGR ACTUATOR" parameter on the GDS.(At idle after rapid acceleration)

Reference value : When EEGR actuator does not operate (5% duty) at idle : 400mg/st ~ 500mg/st

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Replaces EGR actuator, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
