Terminal & Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Signal circuit inspection" procedure.

Signal Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

2.

Disconnect ATM Control Unit(CLG01-A & CLG01-C) connector.

3.

Measure voltage between signal terminal of AFT at the PCM/TCM harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Refer to bleow table

4.

Is the measured voltage within specifications ?

▶ Go to "Ground Inspection" procedure.

▶ Check for open or short in harness. And repair as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ground Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF" & Engine "OFF".

2.

Disconnect ATM Control Unit connector.

3.

Measure continuity between signal terminal of AFT1 harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Continuity

4.

Is the measured resistance within specifications?

▶ Go to "CHECK PCM/TCM " as below.

▶ Check for open in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.

▶ Replace "TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 1" as necessary and Go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.
