Once IPM receives left turn switch working signal, it sends the signal to FAM by CAN communition. FAM makes left turn signal lamp flickering.
This code is set when left turn signal lamp circuit is open for more than 150ms during left turn signal lamp operating.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause |
DTC Strategy | ● Load Mornitoring | ● Poor connection ● Open in left turn signal lamp circuit ● Faulty left turn signal lamp ● Faulty FAM |
Enable Conditions | ● IG KEY ON.
Threshold Value | ● It is normal if output voltage is 12V.
Diagnostic Time | ● Immediately
DTC Erasing Time | ● DTC is erased immediately after trouble fixed. |
Connect GDS.
IG "ON" and engine "OFF".
Select "DTC Analysis" mode.
After erase DTC, keep the vehicle condition within "the enable conditions" (Refer to "DTC Detecting Condition" table).
Is the same DTC occurred again?
![]() | ▶ Go to next procedure. |
![]() | ▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or FAM's connector or was repaired and FAM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
IG "OFF" and Connect GDS.
IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
Select "Current Data" mode.
Execute "left turn signal lamp" test.
Is left turn signal lamp working normal ?

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Has a problem been found?
![]() | ▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |

IG "OFF", disconnect battery (-) terminal.
Disconnect FAM connector.
Measure resistance between the Left turn signal lamp terminal of FAM harness connector and ground of the left turn signal lamp.
Specification: Approx. 1 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification?
![]() | ▶ Substitute with a known - good FAM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the FAM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
![]() | ▶ Repair open in circuit of Left Turn Signal Lamp or Left Turn Signal Lamp internal open, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
After a repair, it is essential to verify that the fault has been corrected.
Connect scan tool and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
Clear the DTCs and Operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.
Is any DTC outputted again?
