Output Current Test
1.

Connect a clamp-on ammeter to alternator 'B' terminal. (toward "BATTERY" (+) terminal)

2.

Start the engine and turn on A/CON and electric devices (head lamp, defogger…etc).

3.

Quickly increase the engine speed to 2,500 rpm and read the maximum output current value indicated by the ammeter.

13.2 ~ 14.0 V

126 ~ 180 A

Is battery voltage normal?

▶ Click on each item for more details. "Coolant", "Cooling fan", "Spark plug"

▶ Check electrical accessory installation.

▶ Check tension of the alternator belt.

▶ Check battery terminal and B+ terminal of the alternator (tightening condition and corrosion).
