Remove start relay from FAM(Front Area Module).

2.

Connect jump wire directly to switch terminals of the start relay.

3.

Measure the voltage between "ST" terminal of the starter and battery (-) terminal.

■ Specification : B+

4.

Is measured voltage within the specification?

▶ Go to "Start relay control circuit inspection" procedure as below.

▶ Repair KEY SW2 fuse open/poor connection.

▶ Repair open/poor connection between "Start relay_ST power supply" terminal of the FAM(BEC-FC33) and solenoid of the starter.

5.

Measure the voltage between "Start rely_coil power supply" terminal and chassis ground at IG key "START".

■ Specification : B+

6.

Is measured voltage within the specification?

▶ Repair/replace the start relay.

▶ Repair open/poor connection between "Start relay_coil ground" terminal and chassis ground.

▶ Go to "ST signal inspection" procedure.

▶ There are possible causes as below. Click on each item for more details.

▶ Repair open/poor connection of "Start fuse" in the I/P junction box.

▶ Repair inhibitor switch(A/T) or Ignition rock switch(M/T).

▶ Repair open/poor connection between "Ignition switch_Start" terminal and "Start relay_coil power supply" terminal.
