First of all check damage of terminals : Check terminals for contact resistance, corrosion and deformation.
CKPS calculates RPM and crank angle. CKPS is important to determine fuel injection quantity and injection timing. Check CKPS signal because Impossible starting, Engine stalls and Engine hesitation would be caused by abnormal CKPS signal.
IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF".
Disconnect CKPS connector.
IG KEY "ON"
Measure the voltage of CKPS connector terminals.

Case2 | ● Normal voltage at terminal "1", "2", "3". | ● Go to "CKPS inspection" as below. |
IG KEY "ON", ENGINE "OFF".
Connect CMPS, CKPS connectors.
Connect channel A to CMPS connector terminal "2"
Connect channel B(+) to CKPS connector terminal "3" of and channel B(-) to CKPS connector terminal "2".
Monitor waveforms after ENGINE "ON" or ENGINE cranking.

Case1 | ● CKPS signal is NOT displayed. | ● Replace the CKPS after measuring resistance of the CKPS component (Refer to fig.1 as below) ● If CKPS signal is NOT displayed (CKPS component resistance and insulating condition are normal), ☞ Check air gab between tone wheel and the CKPS. |
Case2 | ● CKPS signal is abnormal. (Regular abnormal signal similar reference point signal is displayed.) | ● Inspect the tone wheel (it is crushed or not) and air gab between tone wheel. |
Case3 | ● CKPS signal is displayed but reference point between CKPS signal and CMPS signal is abnormal. | ●Inspect alignment of the timing chain. |
