First of all check damage of harness and terminals : Check terminals for contact resistance, corrosion and deformation.

Impossible starting, engine stalling, engine hesitation would be caused by low fuel pressure. Inspect fuel pump relay and fuel pump control circuit (open, short and poor connection).

Measure the voltage of the terminal.

Symptom		Inspection procedure
Case1	● Battery power is supplied at all terminal.	● "Fuel pump power supply inspection" as below.
Case2	● Battery power is not supplied at terminal "30".	● Repair fuse blown (Fuse supplies battery power to fuel pump.) ● If fuse is blown again, Repair short to ground in power supply circuit to fuel pump relay.
Case3	● Battery power is NOT supplied at terminal "86" (IG key "ON").	● Inspect operation of the main relay (engine control relay). ● If main relay (engine control relay) is operated well, Replace the FAM module.
Case4	● Approx 3.5 Voltage is NOT supplied at terminal "85" (IG key "ON").	● Repair open in fuel pump relay control circuit. ● In this case, Possible cause is simple because ☞ "P0231 Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Low" or "P0232 Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit High" will be displayed simultaneously.

Measure the voltage between fuel pump relay terminal "87" and chassis ground.

■ Specification : Continuity (below 5.0 Ω)(20℃) (Resistance can be changed by motor coil temperature in the fuel pump)

Case1

● In case of discontinuity (Infinite Ω)

● Repair open in fuel pump power supply circuit and open in fuel pump ground circuit.

● Repair the fuel pump.

Case2

● In case of high resistance.

● Repair poor connection in fuel pump power supply circuit and open in fuel pump ground circuit.

● Repair the fuel pump.

● If poor connection is suspicious, Go to "Fuel pump current inspection" for detail inspection.
