![]() | As the Piezo-Injector operates under maximum DC 200V, there may be a risk and a pain as below caused by shorted control line etc. - A risk of an electric shock. - A pain on the nervous system and muscles - A risk to user who use artificial heart or medical devices by electromagnetic fields. So when repairing the injector or its wiring, disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal from the battery and wait for about 30~60 seconds. And make sure to wear your protective glasses while you are working and keep cleaning your surroundings. Foreign material may cause other problem in fuel system. |
IG KEY "OFF" , ENGINE "OFF"
Wait for 30~60 seconds to let the inner pressure be disappeared.
Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
Clean high fitting of pressure pipe and return hose for cleaning foreign substances.
Remove the injector connector.
Remove the fixing clip of injector return hose.
Remove high pressure pipe and return hose of the injector. ( 09314-3A000 )
☞ Use the SST (09314-3A000) When removing the high pressure pipe.
☞ Attach the dust cap (CRT-1035) on the injector side nipple so that foreign material not to come in.
☞ Keep the removed high pressure pipe on the clean zone so as not dust to come in.
Remove the injector pad carefully not to be damaged.
Loosen the injector clamp bolt using 6mm Hex socket.
Remove the injector from the engine. (Be care not to be impacted on the nozzle)
Keep it in clean zone with nozzle protection cap after Inspecting removed nozzle visually.
☞ Be sure that when several injectors are removed, each cylinder"s injector should NOT be changed.
Clean dust, carbon on the region of the cylinder head using the SST.
Attach new copper washer at the injector.
Install injector, clamp and pad to the cylinder head with carefully not to be impacted on the nozzle region.
Tighten the injector clamp bolt as tightening torque.
☞ In case of under torque, combustion pressure would be leaked and in case of over torque, it may change the characteristic of the injector so that the injection quantity per operation would be changed .
☞ Tightening torque : 2.5~2.7 Kgf.m
Install injector pad.
Make sure foreign material not inflow, install the high pressure pipe.
☞ When installing the high pressure pipe, assemble it temporarily and then tighten completely.
☞ Tightening torque : 2.5~2.9 Kgf.m
Connect return hose.
☞ With the plug bush fully raised, vertically install the plug to the injector nipple until "Click" sound generates.
☞ Press the plug bush downward until "Click" sound generates.
Connect the injector connector.
Using a scantool, input the IQA data of injector which is replaced.
Refer to "IQA data input (Injector correction)" of detail inspections (Equipment settings).
Inspect engine condition and no fuel leakage after ENGINE "ON"
