Select "ENGINE (DIESEL)".
Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the MAFS (for IATS #1) or BPS (for IATS #2) connector.
Measure resistance between IATS signal terminal and sensor ground terminal.
Check that the resistance is within the specification.
Specification: Refer to "SPECIFICATION"
After replacing the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS) #1, MUST perform the "COMPONENT CHANGE ROUTINE" procedure. Otherwise trouble related with engine performance or emission control may occur until ECM learning about the component is over.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
Connect a scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Turn ignition switch ON.
Select "ENGINE (DIESEL)".
Select "COMPONET CHANGE ROUTINE".
Select "AIR FLOW SENSOR CHANGE".
Confirm the message, and then press "ENTER" key.
Confirm the "Complete" message, and then turn ignition switch OFF.
Wait for more than 10 seconds, and then turn ignition switch ON.
