Terminal & Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Signal circuit inspection" procedure.

Signal Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

2.

Disconnect "ATM Control Unit(CLG01-C)" connector.

3.

Measure voltage between signal terminal of TCM harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 12V

4.

Is the measured voltage within specifications?

▶ Go to "Ground circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Check for open or short in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.

▶ If signal circuit in harness is OK, Go to "Check TCM" of the "Component Inspection" procedure.

Ground Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF".

2.

Disconnect ATM Control Unit(CLG01-C) connector.

3.

Remove the "OIL PAN" from the vehicle.

4.

Measure continuity between ground terminal of Turbine sensor and chassis ground.

Specification : Continuity

5.

Is the measured resistance within specifications ?

▶ Go to "Component inspection" procedure.

▶ Check for open in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.
