Terminal & Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Signal circuit inspection" procedure

Signal Circuit Inspection
1.

Disconnect ATM control Unit(CLG01-C) connector.

2.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

3.

Measure voltage between each range terminal of ATM control Unit connector and chassis ground with shifting from P to D range one by one.

Specification : Battery Voltage

4.

Is the measured voltage within specifications?

▶ Go to "Component inspection" procedure.

▶ Check for open or short in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.

▶ If signal circuit in harness is OK, Substitute with a known-good PCM/TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/TCM as necessary and go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.
