Check for continuity between the tailgate latch terminals.

If continuity is not specified, inspect the switch

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the passenger side glove box (A).

(Refer to the Body group – “Crash pad”)

After loosening the mounting screws, remove the glove box housing (A).

(Refer to the Body group – Crash pad”)

After disconnecting the smart key unit connector, loosen the smart key unit mounting nuts(B) and remove the smart key unit(A).

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the crash pad lower panel (A).

(Refer to the Body group - Crash pad)

Disconnect the connectors (A).

After loosening the mounting nut(1EA), disconnect the connector and remove the receiver (A).

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the console assembly(A). (Refer to the Body group - Console)

After loosening the antenna nuts(2EA) and connector, remove the interior 1 antenna (A).

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the console assembly (A).

(Refer to the Body group - Console)

After loosening the connector mounting bracket nuts at the back of the console, disconnecting the interior 2 antenna connector.

After loosening the nuts(2EA), remove the interior 2 antenna(A).

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

After loosening the mounting bolts, then remove the third seat assembly(A). (Refer to the Body group - Rear seat)

After loosening the connector mounting bracket nut(1EA), disconnect the antenna connector(A).

After loosening the nuts(2EA), remove the interior 3 antenna(B).

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the rear bumper.

(Refer to the Body group - Rear bumper)

Disconnect the antenna connector(A) on the right side of rear bumper.

After loosening the nuts(2EA), remove the exterior bumper antenna (A).

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the crash pad lower panel (A).

(Refer to Body group - Crash pad)

Disconnecting the connectors (A).

Remove the external buzzer (A).

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Disconnect the connector after removing the door trim.

(Refer to the Body group - Front door)

After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the key holder (A).

Remove the outside handle (A) by sliding it rearward.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the tailgate trim.

(Refer to the Body group - Tailgate trilm)

Disconnect the connector. After loosening the remove tailgate garnish mounting nuts, then tailgate garnish (A).

Remove the outside handle (A) after loosening the outside handle mounting screws.

Install the smart key unit.

Install the smart key unit mounting nut and connector.

Install the glove box housing.

Install the glove box.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the RF receiver.

Install the crash pad lower panel.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the interior 1 antenna.

Install the console assembly.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the interior 2 antenna.

Install the connector mounting bracket..

Install the console assembly.

Install the console rear cover after connecting the connector.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the interior 3 antenna.

Install the connector mounting bracket.

Install the third seat assembly.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the exterior bumper antenna.

Install the rear bumper.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the buzzer.

Install the crash pad lower panel.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the outside handle.

Install the door trim.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.

Install the tailgate switch.

Install the tailgate garnish.

Install the tailgate trim.

Install the negative (-) battery terminal and check the smart key system.
