Drain the engine coolant.

2.

Remove the engine cover (A).

3.

Remove the cowl cover, windshield wiper and arm. (Refer to BE group)

4.

Remove the cowl top cover (A).

5.

Remove the intercooler outlet hose (A) .

Tightening torque :

4.9 ~ 6.9N.m (0.5 ~ 0.7kgf.m, 3.6 ~ 5.1lb-ft)

6.

Remove the EGR pipe (A), oil level gauge (B), and then disconnect the solenoid valve hose (C).

Tightening torque :

A: 19.6 ~ 26.5N.m (2.0 ~ 2.7kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 19.5lb-ft)

B: 9.8 ~ 11.8N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7lb-ft)

Remove the coolant reservoir tank.

8.

Remove the heater hoses (A) and fuel hoses (B).

9.

Disconnect the lambda sensor connector (A), and then remove the turbocharger heat protector (B).

Tightening torque :

14.7 ~ 19.6N.m ( 1.5 ~ 2.0kgf.m, 10.8 ~ 14.5lb-ft)

10.

Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector (A) and DPF differential pressure sensor connector (B).

11.

Remove the front muffler (A).

Tightening torque :

39.2 ~ 58.8N.m (4.0 ~ 6.0kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 43.4lb-ft)

12.

Remove the DPF brackets (A).

Tightening torque :

40.2 ~ 53.9N.m (4.1 ~ 5.5kgf.m, 29.7 ~ 39.8lb-ft)

13.

Diaconnect the DPF differential pressure hoses (A), and then remove the DPF assembly (B).

Tightening torque :

29.4 ~ 34.3N.m (3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 25.3lb-ft)

14.

Remove the EGR pipe (A).

Tightening torque

29.4 ~ 34.3N.m (3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 25.3lb-ft)

15.

Remove the RH exhaust pipe protector (A).

Tightening torque :

14.7 ~ 19.6N.m ( 1.5 ~ 2.0kgf.m, 10.8 ~ 14.5lb-ft)

16.

Remove the RH exhaust manifold protector (A).

Tightening torque :

14.7 ~ 19.6N.m ( 1.5 ~ 2.0kgf.m, 10.8 ~ 14.5lb-ft)

17.

Disconnect the EGR cooler hose (A) and then remove the EGR valve & cooler assembly (B).

Tightening torque

C : 19.6 ~ 26.5N.m (2.0 ~ 2.7kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 19.5lb-ft)

D : 40.2 ~ 53.9N.m (4.1 ~ 5.5kgf.m, 29.7 ~ 39.8lb-ft)

18.

Remove the RH exhaust pipe mounting nuts.

Tightening torque

29.4 ~ 34.3N.m ( 3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 25.3lb-ft)

19.

Remove the RH exhaust manifold (A) and gasket.

Tightening torque

29.4 ~ 34.3N.m ( 3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 25.3lb-ft)

20.

Installation is reverse order of removal with a new gasket.

Remove the radiator grille upper guard (A).

4.

Remove the air cleaner assembly.

Disconnect the Air flow sensor connector (A).

(2)

Disconnect the breather hose (B).

(3)

Loosen the hose clamp bolt (C).

Tightening torque :

2.9 ~ 4.9N.m (0.3 ~ 0.5kgf.m, 2.2 ~ 3.6lb-ft)

Remove the air cleaner assembly (D).

Tightening torque :

7.8 ~ 9.8N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2lb-ft)

Tightening torque :

Remove the radiator upper hose (A).

7.

Remove the LH exhaust pipe protector (A).

Tightening torque :

14.7 ~ 19.6N.m ( 1.5 ~ 2.0kgf.m, 10.8 ~ 14.5lb-ft)

8.

Disconnect the water hose (A), and then remove the LH exhaust maniofold protector (B).

Tightening torque :

14.7 ~ 19.6N.m ( 1.5 ~ 2.0kgf.m, 10.8 ~ 14.5lb-ft)

9.

Remove the LH exhaust pipe mounting nuts.

Tightening torque

29.4 ~ 34.3N.m ( 3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 25.3lb-ft)

10.

Remove the LH exhaust manifold (A) and gasket.

Tightening torque

29.4 ~ 34.3N.m ( 3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 25.3lb-ft)

11.

Installation is reverse order of removal with a new gasket.
