2.
Remove the engine cover (A).
Drain the engine coolant.
Remove the engine cover (A).
Remove the cowl cover, windshield wiper and arm. (Refer to BE group)
Remove the cowl top cover (A).
Remove the radiator grille upper guard (A).
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
Disconnect the Air flow sensor connector (A).
Disconnect the breather hose (B).
Loosen the hose clamp bolt (C).
Tightening torque :
2.9 ~ 4.9N.m (0.3 ~ 0.5kgf.m, 2.2 ~ 3.6lb-ft)
Remove the air cleaner assembly (D).
Tightening torque :
7.8 ~ 9.8N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2lb-ft)
Remove the intercooler inlet hose (A).
Tightening torque :
4.9 ~ 6.9N.m (0.5 ~ 0.7kgf.m, 3.6 ~ 5.1lb-ft)
Remove the intercooler inlet hose and pipe assembly (A).
Tightening torque :
9.8 ~ 11.8N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7lb-ft)
Disconnect the Electric VGT control actuator connector (A), lambda sensor connector (B) and then remove the turbocharger heat protector (C).
Tightening torque :
14.7 ~ 19.6N.m ( 1.5 ~ 2.0kgf.m, 10.8 ~ 14.5lb-ft)
Loosen the engine cover mounting bolt (A), and then remove the turbocharger oil feed pipe (B).
Tightening torque
Bolt A: 19.6 ~ 26.5N.m (2.0 ~ 2.7kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 19.5lb-ft)
Eye bolt B: 26.5 ~ 32.4N.m (2.7 ~ 3.3kgf.m, 19.5 ~ 23.9lb-ft)
Remove the heater hoses (A) and fuel hoses (B).
Remove the EGR valve & cooler assembly. (Refer to Exhaust manifold replacement)
Remove the front muffler and DPF assembly. (Refer to Exhaust manifold replacement)
Remove the exhaust pipe heat protectors and pipe mounting nuts. (Refer to Exhaust manifold replacement)
Remove the oil return pipe bolt (A).
Tightening torque :
9.8 ~ 11.8N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7lb-ft)
Remove the pipe with the turbocharger.
Remove the turbocharger (B) & exhaust pipe assembly.
Tightening torque
40.2 ~ 53.9N.m (4.1 ~ 5.5kgf.m, 29.6 ~ 39.8lb-ft)
Installation is reverse order of removal.
