Monitoring DTC Status
1.

Ignition ON & Vehicle "STOP".

2.

Diagnose EPB with GDS for DTC and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode.

3.

Click "DTC Status" on the DTC menu bar to see DTC's information.

4.

Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.

5.

Read the "DTC Status" parameter.

note

- History (Not Present) fault : DTC occurred but has been cleared.

- Present fault : DTC is occurring at present time.

6.

Is parameter displayed "Present fault" ? 

▶ Fix other DTC first, if there is any.

▶ After IGN Off, wait for 4 minutes then turn IGN back on.

▶ After deleting DTC, perform IGN Off/On there time.

▶ If C1604 is still active DTC, perform the procedure below.

▶ Substitute with a known-good EPB ECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace EPB ECU(inside EPB ASS'Y) and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ If EPB ECU is replaced, Connect GDS and select "Vehicle S/W Management" mode and perform "Variant coding", "G-Sensor Calibration" with GDS.

▶This fault was repaired and EPB memory was not cleared. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
