Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine And Transmission Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")
Remove the air duct.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")
Remove the front bumper.
(Refer to Body(Interior and Exterior) - "Front Bumper")
Remove the air guard (A).
Remove the radiator upper member assembly (A).
Disconnect the radiator upper hose (A).
Disconnect the radiator lower hose (A).
Remove the left and right headlight assembly.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Head Lamps")
Loosen the bolt (A) to separate the condenser from radiator.
Pull the radiator (A) upward and remove it from engine room.
Remove the radiator (A) from cooling fan assembly (B).
Tightening torque :
4.9 ~ 7.9 N.m (0.5 ~ 0.8 kgf.m, 3.6 ~ 5.8 lb-ft)
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Remove the radiator cap, wet its seal with engine coolant, and then install it on a pressure tester.
Apply a pressure of 93.16 ~ 122.58kpa (0.95 ~ 1.25kg/cm², 13.51 ~ 17.78psi).
Check for a drop in pressure.
If the pressure drops, replace the cap.
Wait until engine is cool, then carefully remove the radiator cap and fill the radiator with engine coolant, then install a pressure tester on it.
Apply a pressure of 93 ~ 123kPa (0.95 ~ 1.25kgf/cm², 14 ~ 19psi).
Inspect for engine coolant leaks and a drop in pressure.
If the pressure drops, check hoses, the radiator and the water pump for leakage. If there is no leakage, inspect the heater core, the cylinder block and the cylinder head.
Remove the tester and reinstall the radiator cap.
Check for engine oil in coolant and/or coolant in engine oil.
