Monitoring DTC Status
1.

Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".

2.

Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode.

3.

Click "DTC Status" on the DTC menu bar to see DTC's information.

4.

Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.

5.

Read the "DTC Status" parameter.

- History (Not Present) fault : DTC occurred but has been cleared.

- Present fault : DTC is occurring at present time.

6.

Is parameter displayed "Present fault" ? 

▶ Go to Next procedure.

▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or Control module's connector or was repaired and Control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Monitoring with a DVOM on min/max or VMI while wiggling connectors may help find the problem. Any change in voltage indicate a possible problem. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Monitor GDS Data
1.

Ignition ON & Vehicle "STOP".

2.

Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.

3.

Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Clutch Duty" parameter.

Specification :

1)Not stepping : below 10%

2)Full stepping : avobe 80%

Is the measured data within specifications ?

▶ Go to "Terminal and Connector Inspection" procedure.

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.
