Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Ignition switch "OFF"
Refer to "Shop Manual" and remove starter relay.
Ignition switch "ON"
Measure the voltage between Pin No. 3 (Start Feedback Signal) terminal of starter relay harness connector and chassis ground.(W/O ISG)
Measure the voltage between Pin No. 3 (Start Relay Control-High) terminal of starter relay harness connector and chassis ground.(With ISG)
Specification : Approx. 2.5V
Measure the voltage between Pin No. 5 (Start Relay Control) terminal of starter relay harness connector and chassis ground.(W/O ISG)
Measure the voltage between Pin No. 5 (Start Relay Control-Low) terminal of starter relay harness connector and chassis ground.(With ISG)
Specification : Approx. 3.5V
Ignition switch "OFF"
Disconnect battery (-) cable.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect ECM connector.
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 27 (Start Relay Control) terminal of ECM harness connector and battery (+) termianl.(W/O ISG)
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 27 (Start Relay Control) terminal of ECM harness connector and chassis ground.(W/O ISG)
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 24 (Start Feedback Signal) terminal of ECM harness connector and battery (+) termianl.(W/O ISG)
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 24 (Start Feedback Signal) terminal of ECM harness connector and chassis ground.(W/O ISG)
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 51 (Start Relay Control High) terminal of ECM harness connector and battery (+) termianl.(With ISG)
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 51 (Start Relay Control High) terminal of ECM harness connector and chassis ground.(With ISG)
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 27 (Start Relay Control Low) terminal of ECM harness connector and battery (+) termianl.(With ISG)
Measure the resistance between Pin No. 27 (Start Relay Control Low) terminal of ECM harness connector and chassis ground.(With ISG)
Specification : Infinite (∞ Ω)
Is the measured value within specification?
