Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found ?

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "CAN Communication Line Inspection" procedure.

CAN Communication Line Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.

3.

Disconnect HECU and EPB connector

4.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 26 (CAN High) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 1 (CAN High) terminal of EPB harness connector.

5.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 14 (CAN Low) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 2 (CAN Low) terminal of EPB harness connector.

Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω

6.

Is measured value within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair open in CAN Communication circuit between HECU and EPB harness connector and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
