Under normal vehicle condition, voltage and current is not supplied to starter motor after engine "ON". If voltage and current is supplied to starter motor after engine is running, it can cause the damage on starter motor and flywheel. To prevent these damages, ECM monitors the current that supplied to starter motor and protects the system.
