Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.

■ Check B-CAN High / Low Line
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and remove necessary parts to get access to BCM.

3.

Ignition "ON"

4.

Back probe and measure signal waveform between Pin No. 14 (B-CAN High) terminal of SJB harness connector and chassis ground.

5.

Back probe and measure signal waveform between Pin No. 15 (B-CAN Low) terminal of SJB harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : B-CAN High : Approx. 1.44 V / B-CAN Low : Approx. 3.62 V (Refer to Figure below)
