Component Inspection
■ Variant coding procedure.
1.

Ignition switch "OFF"

2.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

3.

Ignition switch "ON"

4.

Select "Vehicle S/W Management" on GDS.

5.

Perform "LKAS/LDWS Variant Coding" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.

6.

Clear any DTCs stored in the system with GDS.

7.

Re-check DTC in the system with GDS.

8.

Did the same DTC is stored in the system?

▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

▶ If no problems still occurs, replace LDWS ECU and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Fault might be caused by not performing variant coding after LDWS ECU replacement. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Vehicle S/W Management
■ In cases that require the variant coding
1.

In case of LDWS ECU replacement.

2.

In case DTC C170255 is present.

■ In cases that require the calibration
3.

In case of LDWS ECU replacement.

4.

In case LDWS ECU is removed from the windshield or bracket.

5.

In case of windshield replacement.

6.

In case LDWS bracket is damaged.

■ Calibration procedure.
7.

Check for vehicle alignment and tire pressure for accurate camera calibration.

8.

Windshield must be clean and free of any dirt or object.

9.

Calibration target installation procedure as follows:

a. Set the calibration target height approx. 90cm ± 2cm from the ground and align the center of target with center line of vehicle.

b. Center of target and center of vehicle should be within ±5cm.

c. Position the calibration target approxi. 0cm from the center of vehicle front wheel. Horizontal line of vehicle and horizontal line of calibration target angle should be within 1°. (Close range target setting)

d. Perform Distance target setting after performing close target setting.

e. Position the calibration target 1 m from the front bumper. Horizontal line of vehicle and horizontal line of calibration target angle should be within 1°. (Far range target setting)
