Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors(and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
■ Right Power Outside Mirror LED Power Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect Passenger Power Outside Mirror connector and BSD ECU(RH) connector.

3.

Ignition "ON".

4.

Measure voltage between Pin No. 11(LED Power) of the Passenger Power Outside Mirror connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 5V

5.

Is the measured voltage within specifications?

▶ Go to next procedure.

▶ Check open in Passenger Power Outside Mirror LED Power circuit. And then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition "OFF"

7.

Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.

8.

Disconnect mirror connector of the RH outside mirror.

9.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 11(LED Power) of the Passenger Power Outside Mirror connector and chassis ground.

Specification : ∞ Ω

10.

Is the measured resistance within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Check short to ground in Passenger Power Outside Mirror signal Circuit. And then, go to "Component Inspection" procedure.
