Monitor DTC Status
1.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

2.

Ignition "ON"

3.

Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.

Is DTC status displayed as Present?

▶ Go to "Monitor GDS Data" procedure.

▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.

Monitor GDS Data
■ Check DTC
1.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"

2.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

3.

Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode.

4.

After erase DTC, keep the vehicle condition within "The enable conditions".

(Refer to "DTC Detecting Condition" table)

5.

Is the same DTC occurred again?

▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the SPAS ECU and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

* When replace SPAS ECU, must perform Variant Coding of Vehicle S/W Management.(Please refer to Vehicle S/W Management)

▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in SPAS ECU's connector or was repaired and SPAS ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

1.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

2.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

3.

Perform "SPAS Variant Coding" in "Vehicle S/W Management".
