System Inspection
■ Visual Inspection
1.

Ignition switch "OFF"

2.

Disconnect battery (-) cable.

3.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and remove lambda sensor unit.

4.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and inspect for following conditions:

- Corrosion and water influx in terminal

- Damaged wiring protection tube, and open in wiring

- Proper installation of the sensor

- Damaged, deformed, or melted sensing element of the sensor

5.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and inspect following conditions on catalyst system;

- Crack or damaged catalyst.

6.

Are the result of the inspection items normal?

▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

▶ If no problems were found with the circuits, connectors and problem is not fixed, replace the downstream lambda sensor and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ If downstream lambda sensor is replaced and problem is not fixed, replace the Catalyst and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Vehicle S/W Management
■ In case of Lambda sensor is replaced, perform follwoing procedures;
1.

Ignition switch "OFF"

2.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

3.

Ignition switch "ON" & Engine "OFF"

4.

Perform "Essential Work After Component Replacement" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.

5.

Select "Lambda Sensor(LSU) Change"

■ In case of Catalyst is replaced, perform follwoing procedures;

Ignition switch "OFF"

7.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

8.

Ignition switch "ON" & Engine "OFF"

9.

Perform "Essential Work After Component Replacement" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.

10.

Select "Converter ASSY(LNT+DPF) Change"
