Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

IG OFF.
Disconnect the back up lamp switch and HECU connector.
Measure resistance of reverse(back up lamp) signal terminal between the back up lamp switch and HECU harness connector.
Measure resistance between ground terminal of back up lamp switch harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification :Below 1Ω
Is the measured value within specifications ?

IG OFF.
Disconnect the back up lamp switch and HECU connector.
Measure resistance between reverse(back up lamp) signal terminal of the back up lamp switch harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Below 1Ω
